Hurricane noise reduction shaft This is a sneak peak of the newly developed hurricane clutch noise reduction ring. Many might remember the Hurricane clutch noise reduction replacement shaft for the 998 engine. After having several manufacturing issues with the noise reduction shaft we’ve redesigned the concept. The Hurricane noise reduction shaft works excellent at taking the rattle out of the Yamaha clutch. Now we have made the same effect while using the factory stock shaft. All shaft issues have now been eliminated by installing the inertia ring onto the stock shaft. The Hurricane clutch noise reduction ring is cheaper and an easier install. We will be offering a limited number of Hurricane noise reduction rings for sale till we get extensive trail miles on it

Hurricane Gap Closed Loop System New The Hurricane gap closed look system is essentially a preset auto tune. We build the tunes to be safe and powerful on the cold air days. Thus the warm days make less power because there’s less oxygen to burn through the chemical reaction that occurs during combustion. The 998 has an baro meter to adjust for altitude as well as an air temp sensor but the warm days will be higher in humidity. This humidity can displace some of the usable ox...ygen. The sled has no way of measuring this. This is why ,like all road vehicles, we need an o2 sensor to be able to measure the remaining oxygen in the exhaust after the burn. By this oxygen measurement we can tell the ratio of the air/fuel mixture that was in the cylinder. We have now added the algorithm to the ecu to be able to correct the next burn based on the result of the last stroke. The Hurricane gap closed loop system is intended to insure that the tune runes as it was intended on all days. Not just the cold days. The afr values are preset by Hurricane to insure this. The Hurricane gap closed loop system is not intended to correct for a mechanical defect or swapping parts such as header without the proper flash. We have some limited inquiries as to how to set the correct cam timing on the sidewinder engine when the head or block surface has been machined. So we now offer a cam set jig to insure that the stock cam timing is set correctly

Hurricane - Gap 998 Closed Loop System The Hurricane - Gap 998 Closed Loop System upgrades your Sidewinder - Thundercat with the ability to monitor the AFR ...values. this upgrade allows your sled to self adjust the fuel delivery according to the climate of the day, everyday! the fuel corrections are made by your ECU during your ride. now, there is no compromising. Your tune will be optimum for the most power and the best fuel economy everyday, everywhere, no matter what. You will need to purchase the Hurricane AEM Plug and Play O2 Sensor Kit as well as the Hurricane - Gap Closed Loop System to empower your ECU to adjust your tune to match the riding climate. Just like all cars have been doing for years. You do not need to own the Hurricane - Gap flasher for the Closed Loop System to operate. For those who have flashed their cluster with the Hurricane Cluster Flash, the AFR values can be displayed prominently on your cluster along with the boost. Closed Loop Fuel Control Introduction This engine ECU was designed to run on an open loop configuration. The closed loop air/fuel ratio has targets for both cruising and full throttle situations. Cruising AFR target is leaner to provide better fuel economy while a richer target is used at high or full throttle for maximum power. Results -Proper power delivery under hot conditions by preventing the air/fuel mixture from being too rich -Proper fueling when it’s very cold -Automatic compensation relatives the sled intake and exhaust paths configurations -Maximum engine power delivery in all environmental conditions at high or full throttle -Better fuel economy while cruising at low or mid throttle. Brand new product release at Hurricane performance The Hurricane Front Slider Cross Shaft fixes the stock shaft bending and breaking issues. The upgraded shaft is nearly as light as the stock shaft with the centre of the shaft diameter built much larger to prevent flexing. The Hurricane Front Slider Cross Shaft kit also includes replacement high strength mounting bolts designed to add strength to each shaft end to prevent breaking.
