THIS CAN SAVE YOU HUNDREDS, one of my customers called the other day to say that she had been ripped off because her furnace was not working, so she called a furnace repair guy, who came out to charge her, $250 to change the batteries on her thermostat, so before you call for a repair, check/change your own batteries, its a simple fix, the cover normally pops off, pretty easy, and simply clips back on!

!!FROZEN PIPE ALERT!! please take care tonight, not to have your water pipes freeze, the temperatures are going way dow, so if your house is prone to frozen pipes, open up the cupboard doors below where the taps are, and remove any obstructions, so the warm house air will help to keep the pipes warm, also, letting the water trickle throughout the cold snap will help to keep them from freezing, and if you have frozen pipes, use a hair dryer or heater, to thaw, never use an open flame, never!! also, don't leave the heaters on throughout the night, and never leave them on, if you go out. regards al megahy

good evening everyone, the kids have come and gone for another year of trick or treating, so now is the time to turn your attention to getting your home ready for the winter season. you should be turning off your outside taps from the inside for the winter, remembering to leave the outside tap on, and remove the bleed valve from inside tap, you should also make sure all your downspouts are properly attached, and draining the water away from the house. also, don't forget to... winterize your lawn mower, by thoroughly washing the underside of it, to get all the grass off, and then top off the fuel and put in some fuel stabilizer. this is also the time to replace your batteries for your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, if necessary, also, don't for to replace the detectors if they are more than 10 years old, this is a very cheap way to keep your family safe. the one other thing you should do is replace the furnace and humidifier filters, and don't forget to clean your eavestroughs and downpipes before they freeze.if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call and ask for free advice regarding any of these items, or anything home related, alan megahy 416 266 3434 See more
