There are a number of dynamics that are incompatible with a viable and loving marriage or long-term relationship, starting with distrust, disrespect, and disinterest. They are relationship killers, in more ways than one. They may slowly break the heart and soul of a bond and cause the actual breakup and end of a marriage- Distrust, Disrespect and Disinterest. https://www.psychologytoday.com//three-destructive-dynamic
This year we were all forced to stay home, spend more time with our families, and taught to make use of what we already have. In 2020, I’ve learned how to surrender with grace, whether I wanted to or not. This pandemic has made me re-think my priorities and remember how precious life is. It has been a reminder to appreciate the smaller things in life the things I often take for granted. With so many deaths each day, I am grateful for my family and friends. With so many peo...ple falling ill, I am grateful for my health. With so many people losing jobs and becoming homeless, I am grateful for the food in my fridge and a place to call home. This pandemic has made me re-evaluate my life and assess my priorities and served as a reminder of how precious life is and appreciate the small things in life. 2020 is the year that has changed us all. It forced us to slow down, give up things, and despite our best wishes for things to go back to normal, I think we all slowly realized with each passing month that we might not fully return to the way things were before. If there is one key message from this year, it’s to always stay optimistic. Being grateful for everything you get the opportunity to do. You never know what’s going to happen. You’ve just got to make sure every day you’re trying to do the best you can. People are far more important than any other thing in your life. No hobby, interest, book, work is going to be as important to you as the people you spend time with. So tell your loved ones how much you love them, make yourself a priority and appreciate all the things you once took for granted. Despite the lock downs and isolation I am excited for 2021 and I wish you all a healthy year ahead. Best Wishes from Hussain Law.

Only about 25% of women who are subjected to intimate partner abuse report it to the police. There are many reasons for this. The abuse may not constitute a criminal offence because it is not physical or sexual. The woman may be afraid that calling the police will lead to increased abuse by her partner, worried that child protection authorities will become involved, concerned about how the police might treat her partner because he is racialized or Indigenous, fearful that her... immigration status will be put into jeopardy or have had bad experiences with the police in the past. One of the reasons women don’t have for not calling the police is that they don’t mind the abuse. And, yet, women are often blamed when they don’t report. In family court proceedings, it is not uncommon for a woman to be told that her evidence of abuse would have been given greater weight had her former partner been criminally charged. Child protection authorities, child custody assessors and other professionals, neighbours, co-workers, even family members and friends, often downplay the seriousness of the abuse when it has not been reported to the police.... A powerful article. https://pamelacross.ca/rage-and-despair/
The holidays are approaching, and as we all know, the holidays can bring up challenges even in the best of times add COVID-19 restrictions into the mix and it can become quite hectic. Celebrating the holidays during COVID-19 won’t exactly be easy due to these restrictions. Some people comply with government mandates to wear masks and so forth, yet others feel it is a personal choice. Family members from afar who are visiting over the holidays may feel exempt from COVID precautions. https://www.divorcemag.com//co-parenting-through-the-holid
