It is with heavy hearts that we announce that one member of the CF Snowbirds team has died and one has sustained injuries. We can confirm that we have contacted... all primary family members of those involved. More information will be communicated in the near future. Update: Our previous statement indicated that the surviving member of the crash suffered serious injuries, we can confirm that their injuries are not considered life threatening.

Today we honour Private Darryl James Caswell, a member of the Royal Canadian Dragoons who was killed on this day in 2007 while on duty in Afghanistan. Private ...Caswell was awarded (posthumous) the Sacrifice Medal, a medal created to provide a tangible and lasting form of recognition for the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and those who work with them who have been wounded or killed by hostile action and to Canadian Armed Forces members who died as a result of service. #TributeTuesday #MyCAF #StrongProudReady #StrongSecureEngaged Nous rendons hommage aujourd'hui au soldat Darryl James Caswell, membre des Royal Canadian Dragoons, qui a été tué en 2007 durant son service en Afghanistan.
