Neurologist Rebecca Saxe presented the most beautiful photo of the year. In fact, this is an image of a magnetic resonance captured when a mother kisses her two months old son. The lips placed on the baby's head immediately trigger a reaction in his and his parents brains. Dopamine is released and gives us the feeling good sensation, it will create the wanting more of this connection. Oxytocin is also secreted. The love hormone, because it's responsible for creating th...e feelings of affection and attachment. You're not spoiling them. You're letting them slowly learn how to regulate. Each baby creates these new path ways in there brain in there own pace. This bonding starts in pregnancy when we take time to connect and relax daily we are giving our baby an opportunity to bathe in endorphins and enjoy a clam and peaceful time!! This is amazing! In our classes, we teach you various ways to nurse, but this is a personal favourite for both of us, and one that isn’t really taught in the hospital. It’s also the way the rest of the mammals naturally nurse. This is really cool to read and makes so much sense!
