The best way to conquer clothes clutter: Hold your own once-a-year fashion show. Empty the closet, then try on each garment in front of a full-length mirror. Does it fit? With what outfits and on what occasions will you wear it? Does it need mending? Will you ever be able to get out that ink stain? Separate pieces into four piles: keep, mend, donate, throw away. Quick Fixes for Light Rust For small items, pour white vinegar into a bowl and place the items in it. Make sure that the item is completely submerged and allow it to soak for up to an hour. Remove the item, rinse it with cool water and dry it off thoroughly. For larger objects that you can't soak, pour white vinegar into a spray bottle and saturate the area. Leave it for five to 10 minutes and spray it again. Reapply the vinegar and wipe the area with a clean cloth until the ...rust is gone. Mix a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to a rusted area. Make sure that the area is completely covered and leave it for 20-30 minutes. When the paste is hardened, scrub the area with a clean damp cloth to remove both the paste and the rust. Rinse the area with clean water and dry the area completely with a dry towel. Pour Coca-Cola onto the affected area and scrub it with a piece of aluminum foil that is crumpled into a ball. Continue adding more Coca-Cola and scrubbing until all of the rust is gone. Rinse the area with clean water and dry the area well with a clean cloth.
