Dear fellow members, supporters and friends The last few months have been quite different than what we have been used to in our modern lifestyle. Restrictions have been placed where freedom to circulate once stood alone. Caution has replaced carefree lifestyles; and most importantly, many have had a lot more time to devote to loved ones, projects and themselves. We will not know with certainty what the future holds for us all; we can work to adapt, be more cautious, help natu...re rather than take it for granted. Most of all, we can appreciate those who work hard in keeping our lives safe, and remain united. Sports often give us the feeling of Unity; our sport is ball hockey, and for 25 years it has given me a feeling of being at home, away from home. The game gave me so much as a player, and the feeling of wanting to show my respect for the game has grown on me as well. My desire? To continue building and encouraging players, and our teams. Our association will be entering its 10th year in 2021, and the time has never been better than now to have new members join. Recent months have allowed many of our returning players time to train, time to remember the feeling of representing a nation in ISBHF World Championships. Today, as we adapt to a new reality in sports, we begin our Road to the future. What does it mean to be a United Arms' member and player? Simple; that which we have been taught as a child growing up; that which playing team sports has looked to teach us through adolescence. As an adult, it will continue to teach us that only through Unity will we define our goals and take pride in joy with our achievements. Integrity, sense of belonging to a brotherhood undefined in the dictionary. Combined achievements, on and off the playing surface. Learning, assisting, competing at the highest level the game offers. Travelling, creating memories which will remain priceless. We will begin recruiting new members and send this invitation out to past, present players as well. An open try out will be held late Summer, in Laval. Date and time will be announced in July 2020. As your President, I request a simple gesture. Continue developing your skills; in hockey and in life. I have been extremely proud to see young teenagers develop into wonderful young men, husbands, fathers and professionals. I am honoured to continue sharing moments with the veterans with whom I got to play for two decades. Today, I look to continue building that road; a road that cannot be built without all of you.
