We are very excited to announce that we will be welcoming our students back on Monday, June 15th! They will begin to take clients by the end of June. Thank all of you, our clientele, who have been keeping our phones ringing these past 3 months encouraging us and being patient during this time. Your support has been overwhelming and we are so excited to see you again! We are committed to keeping our students, staff, clients, and community safe and have implemented the followin...g measures listed below. This is in accordance with COVID safety measures and for your safety and comfort during your appointment time. 1All clients must wear masks while in the clinic if you do not have a mask you can purchase a disposable mask for $1.50 at reception. 2Please wait in your car before your appointment. We will call you when your Student Esthetician is ready for you. 3We are limiting the number of people in the building at a time. We require you to come alone when you enter the clinic. 4There is a hand sanitizer for use as you walk into the reception. Please use this before & after your appointment and upon leaving. 5All clients are expected to sign a waiver before any treatment can start. Meghan You started your Esthetics Diploma program on March 16th, the first day that all of the educational facilities in Alberta were closed for in-class training. How have you adjusted to your online classes? Meghan - I have taken online classes in the past so it wasn’t anything new to me. In some ways I kind of prefer it but for this program it is so hands-on it does suck but I can’t wait to come back.... With social distancing how have you kept up your schoolwork? Do you find it tough or easy? Meghan - I’d say I’ve stayed on top of all my school work since social distancing as there is so much more free time. I don’t find it tough but I wouldn’t say it’s easy either What have you been doing at home? Meghan - For the most part I’ve been outside on my family’s acreage playing with our 2 new puppies Any study tips you would like to share? Meghan - Q-cards help a lot I find. I write everything out on my q-cards and quiz myself until I know the Answer and meanings How have the instructors helped you in this time of social distancing? Meghan - The instructors have helped with giving me something to do with all this free time we have by giving me assignments and having class daily but also by supporting us and each other
