Devasting wildfire forces the evacuation of the entire city of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The IAFF is working with the Alberta Fire Fighters Association (AFFA) in coordinating our efforts to support our members, their families, and the fire fighting effort in that community. The collective thoughts and prayers of the 13th District are with everyone affected by this tragic fire. A relief fund will be established and details will be provided once they are available.

Today is our National Day of Mourning. Pause to remember those workers who have died as a result of their workplace and commit to advocating safe and best practices to mitigate the number of deaths going forward. May our Brothers & Sisters RIP.
