My husband and I choose for him to be the full-time stay-at-home parent during this time in our children's lives. My job is my passion and I am my own boss, so I make a lot more money for my time and I make my own hours which allows me to still spend a lot of time with my family. My husband is the most patient, smart, fun, and loving father possible so I know it has been a very smart decision for our family for him to be the stay-at-home parent instead of me. This is traditi...onally a mostly female role which he has received judgments for taking on, and not letting this judgment get to him and just rocking this dad job, makes me so proud of him and confident in our children’s care. So, even though we don’t own a house and we may not be dressed in Prada or driving around in a fancy SUV we have all that we really need plus we are drenched in kisses, love, and laughter that we wouldn’t trade for the world! So here is a shout-out to all the incredible stay-at-home dads out there... To the powerful working mamas out there doing amazing things... To the amazing working dads who are providing for their families... To the magical stay-at-home moms rocking it... To the single parents taking on every role And just a shout-out to parents in general! You are doing a great job! Even if you are doing things a little differently. Doing it your way! Being a parent is not easy and right now we need to give ourselves and others a pat on the back because we are all doing the best we can with what we have and what we truly want for ourselves and our families.
