People quite often ask me what camera I should buy for travelling so they can take better pictures. When I say just get a new smartphone they look at me as though I have two heads. This image is as good as it gets, and was captured using my Huawei P30 Pro. Yes, I spent time editing it and I made sure the original was a RAW file, but I defy anyone today this is not something they'd be proud to hang in their wall. Pretty soon people will be saying "Your photos are awesome photo. You must have a great smartphone". Yes, I do. I also know how to use it. Get in touch if you"re interested in learning how to improve your skills from taking snapshots to creating great photographs.
"Baptiste Sunrise" This is one of my all time favourite photos. The sunrise through the early morning fog on Baptiste Lake was magical. I said the other day that I had to frame it. Just so happens that I have a 24x36 frame by @KeithTribe at Rustic Works that needed just such an image.... If you want to check it out, get in touch.
Sunrise on Saturday was magical at my cousin Phil and Brenda's cottage. I was thrilled by the fog on the lake that formed a diffuser for the sun that allowed this photo to be captured. Normally, I spend hours in my editing programs to create a final image that looks like a painting. This sunrise, however, gave me everything I wanted and then some. Captured with my P30Pro... #HuaweiP30Pro #phoneography #eyemacphoto #itsnotapainting

So excited to post this photo. Joanne and I decided to make our first trip with the new trailer up to Wesley Liikane's beautiful property just outside the northeast corner of Algonquin Park. As some of you know, Wes is an Amazing astrophotographer. The Milky Way is phenomenal up here. This is my first photo of the trailer on our first of many adventures. The Perseid meteor shower even added an extra detail. ... And what camera did I use, you may ask? The Huawei P30 Pro. Sometimes I wonder why I have all my gear.
