Bruce and I were a little late getting out last night with the clouds moving in, but you make do with what you have:

LAST WEEK! If you haven’t seen #NightSkies yet head on over to The Eye Gallery (#117-1132 College Dr, #YXE) I took this one night out at Blackstrap. After leaving the car and approaching the channel we heard a loud disconcerting noise, almost like a great amount of water rushing by over rocks, only it was in the air. As it was dark, it was difficult to see but it turned out to be a pod of pelicans taking off from the water. The sky was alive all around us on this night and changing rapidly. The glow from the aurora in contrast with the city glow, as well as the spattering of cloud, made for some satisfying images. #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights #Sask #Saskatchewan #Saskatoon #saskatoonphotographer #prairieskies #pelicans #blackstrap

Counting down to the last few days of the #NightSkies exhibit at The Eye Gallery. #117-1132 College Dr in Saskatoon. Here is a quick time-lapse from an outing the other night to whet your appetite. The clouds came in and cut things short. It's too bad because, as you can see, there was a big flare-up in brightness toward the end.
