Did you know that it’s against the electrical code to replace an electrical outlet or switch with power in it? Our class today learned the how-to’s around a multi-tester, an electrical device to check the status of power in the outlet or switch. The power supply line or its breaker should be turned off first before replacing the fixture, in accordance with the electrical code and of course, safety!
