Salary: starting 12.55-14.50 $/hr depending on experience, raises as skill level increases Start Date: as soon as possible General Description Great customer service at Dan’s Ice Cream Shoppe is essential to a positive customer experience. Your ultimate responsibility is to provide great service to help Dan’s Ice Cream Shoppe attract and retain customers. You will meet this responsibility by friendly serving customers collaboratively with your co-workers while maintaining a clean, orderly dining and work environment. Responsibilities -Greet all customers as they enter Dan’s Ice Cream Shoppe -Take customer orders accurately -Fill customer orders for ice cream, drinks and bakery goods -Process payment for customer orders (cash (CAD & USD), debit, credit, gift certificates) -Maintain clean and orderly dining and serving areas throughout the shift with a thorough cleaning at end of day -Answer the phone -Provide accurate information about products to customers -Restock ingredients, food products and packaging products when low -Politely resolve minor customer complaints, escalate major customer complaints to manager -Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills -Previous customer service experience is an asset -Reliable, positive attitude, customer service oriented and willing to learn -Able to juggle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace -Able to work without direct supervision -Able to work collaboratively with a team of diverse individuals -Excellent oral and written communication skills in English -Math skills enough to count change -Able to be on feet for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally). -Valid Food Handlers Certificate, WHMIS certificate and Emergency First Aid Training are assets
