If you're like me, you feel like a fish out of water right now! We all need some positive stories right now! Let's play a little Q&A then shall we? When did you learn to scuba dive? 2011 What made you want to learn? I was always fascinated with the ocean! I mean, the fact that we have an entirely different 'planet' down there blows my mind!... Most anxious moment? I was drift diving in Cozumel and lost a weight pocket! Lucky for me, my dive master noticed straight away and held me in place while I got the pocket back in place! Biggest 'ah-ha' moment? After remembering I shouldn't breathe through my nose (hahaha!), I sat at the bottom of the pool - staring up, watching my bubbles - absolutely amazed that not coming up for air was the most awesome thing ever! Biggest ocean creature you've seen? On a surface interval, I snorkeled with 25 ft whale shark in Honduras in March 2017! Smallest ocean creature you've seen? A baby yellow seahorse, which was actually black and about 4mm long! Rarest ocean creature you've encountered? A stargazer! Ocean spirit animal? Sea turtles - more specifically the Hawksbill. Oh yes and barracudas love me - I must be their spirit animal! Any experiences with sharks? All positive! My best dive buddy saved a young nurse shark from entrapment a couple of weeks ago! Seen bull sharks, black and white tip reef sharks and a distant hammerhead! Favourite dive site? I can't just name one but I'm going to shout out to Honduras for having such a diverse selection of dive sites. Also, the ceynotes and Cozumel! Any Shipwreck diving? Yes! Tobermory and Honduras, the Haliburton is my fave as I've got to dive it quite a few times! Favourite dive buddy(s)? James, Evans, Jules Most challenging diving course? Rescue, it changed me as a diver in the most positive way. But man - was it challenging! Most memorable Scuba instructor? Phil - my open water instructor. He went out of his way to finish my training after suffering a cold. He also told me I had the makings of an instructor - that put me on the path to where I'm at now and I love teaching! Bucket list dive location? There are too many to list - I have a book and I'm hoping to go to most of them in my lifetime! Ok divers! Just copy and paste in a comment below, swapping my answers for your own Add some more questions too - I cannot wait to read the posts! Hey - if we can't dive right now - let's build some anticipation for when we can! ***If you're not a scuba diver, just tell me about your water adventures/great memories! Jodi xoxo
