**EXCITING NEWS** We couldn’t wait until the 18th to share the news! Initial Designs has new owners! Mike and Candy Davis have taken over the store as of January 4th! ... They will be adding large format printing and vinyl decals to Initial Designs’ offerings! I am so excited to work with Mike and Candy during the transition over the next few months! I am confident in their ability to run the business with the same enthusiasm that we pride ourselves on. Thank you to our valuable customers, from all over the Kootenay’s, for your support over the past 7+ years. It has been a pleasure to serve you and I truly appreciate you trusting us with your promotional needs. I recently read that one of the most offensive food smells in a workplace is popcorn! Luckily our staff don’t think so! We took a break last week to settle an ongoing staff dispute about which machine makes the best popcorn. After testing out multiple machines we decided that all popcorn is the best popcorn

Initial Designs is open and thriving! With the exception of a few changes to the way we operate, we are back to business as usual. We have had a lot of inquiries about why we are selling. The sale of Initial Designs is due to a new family venture that we have started, and that I will be moving on to as General Manager. My family is excited to announce our start-up, Caliper Safety Inc. We are a wholesale production facility, manufacturing disposable masks. ... We have recently dropped the sale price of Initial Designs to reflect our motivation to sell. The business and building are both on the MLS.

Reflect Design in Cranbrook has donated their time to create this logo for us to use in our donation efforts. Coming soon, we will have a selection of items available in-store and on our *NEW WEBSITE*, with these logos. Proceeds from the sale of these items will all be donated to those in need. All of our vendors are now producing disposable and reusable masks and we are beginning to bring them in to our store. We have 1700 disposable masks in-stock with another 3000+ coming in a couple of weeks. Must be purchased in boxes of 50. A Tuesday story for you: Years ago we embroidered 20 hats for the Cranbrook Bandits and they didnt turn out well. We used an old digitized file and it didnt stitch nicely. I dont know why we didnt stop after one hat turned out badly, but for some reason we kept on stitching. I had a customer who was coming in regularly and buying apparel on sale to send to an under-privileged school in the Philippines. I donated the 20 ruined hats to my customer to send overseas. A coup...le months later we received word that the school had started their own Bandits Baseball team! Since then we have helped our customers, Glen and Jill Popoff, to send boxes of sale items, donated items and miss-printed items to the Philippines. Last year we custom-printed 100 T-shirts for the team with their school logo under the Bandits logo. Our local Bandits team also collected used gear and we added boxes of balls, bats and other equipment to the last shipment! We are sent regular updates and pictures from the school and community of our donations in action! Take a look at some of our Philippines Bandits kids!

I have spent the last 4+ weeks with my quarantine buddy. We go into the store every day and try and get a bit of work done.
