Idic/uss Hudson Bay

So there is nothing new happening with the USS Hudson Bay/IDIC! Like many fan organizations, our activities have been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our meeting venue under the North York Public Library is closed to the public, like all public buildings in Toronto. We normally don't have meetings over in July or August anyway. We are hoping to see you in September (virus permitting)! We are posting this because Facebook doesn't like our lack of activity and says they... may unpublish this page. So we would like to take this opportunity to officially announce that we have nothing to announce! Please stay safe, everybody! Meanwhile, since some of us are stuck at home watching television all the time, we'd like to share some things we've seen this week. The latest episode of Legends of Tomorrow, on CW, has a lethally funny parody of Star Trek, as well as parodies of other shows we've seen. There is some backstory as part of the series arc, but really this episode is worth watching just for the funny parts, so everyone can watch it. Also, Space Force has just been released on Netflix, fictionally based on a new arm of the US military. No spoilers, but if you like Star Trek, Veep, or The Office, this is worth watching. John Malkovic and Fred Willard play small but significant roles, among many other good actors known and unknown. So for now, please stay safe everybody. We will let you know when our next meeting is, when we know. And if Facebook demands more attention, we will let you know again that we have nothing new to say! Thanks for your support. Maybe it would be good for a few of you to like or react (haha) to this page to satisfy the Facebook algorithm's need for validation.

It’s official. No word yet on where it will air in Canadahopefully, Space, err, CTV Sci-Fi Channel.

With these unprecedented times we thought it prudent to keep everyone safe, and maintain social distance we are announcing that the April 18th, May 9th and June 6th 2020 open meetings have been cancelled.
