Congratulations to the executive committee and the chair, Janice Young, for putting together the first Eastern Canadian online feis!! The YKDA dancers were thrilled to dance in competition again. Some dancing in the smallest of spaces from their homes and some lucky enough to get into the studio to film. 40 year anniversary!!!!!! WOW! 40 years is a long time, that's how long Yvonne has been teaching Irish dance. When she finished her competitive years at the Butler Academy she went on achieve her TCRG and opened her own school in a church basement. From there she passed her ADCRG and became a Grades Examiner. She has taught in Windsor, Detroit, London with her main studio in Newmarket. Over 40 years she has helped shape the lives of countless dancers becasue as we all know dance is far more than dresses, wigs and competitions. Congrats Yvonne, here's to the next 40!! This is a little clip from Yvonnes 40th year surprise zoom recital. The dancers were awesome as we tried to put together a 2 act dance rectial including each of our classes on zoom!
