Just placed our order for day old turkeys to arrive on the farm in early June! We had such an incredible response and sold out of all our turkeys before Thanksgiving, we decided to do it again this year. Pre-orders to reserve your turkey will be coming soon! :) Here is a video how we raise our turkeys on pasture. Movement is key. Our turkeys don't just have "access" to the same "pasture", everyday. Just like our chickens, our turkeys are moved onto a clean, new piece of pas...ture. With regulations here in Ontario we are only allowed to raise 50 turkeys (without obtaining quota), so with the our limited volume and the amount of room given to our turkeys - the turkeys are typically moved every other day. Well, in the case of our the last two weeks, our turkeys just roamed free will over the entire farm! The main thing is they actually move and they mimic nature. Mother Nature is our template. If the animals live in a stationary barn - that is not pasture raised - that is free range! In this case, livestock are given "access" to the outdoors - typically only in perfect weather conditions. Movement with portable buildings/shelters is key in a real pasture operation. We say what we do, we do what we say. We want to be your farmer and happy to serve our local community with Real Pasture Raised chickens, eggs, turkeys, pork and 100% grass fed & finished beef.

Farm to Family - a Drive Thru Farmers' Market, accepting orders until Thursday at 8pm. Order online from a wonderful selection and you pick up on Saturday between 10-12pm. Woke up this morning and it was a lot brighter...and it is not because of the sun. Looks like we received a good snowfall last night - how about you? Morning chores will take a little longer today.

Introducing Zazu. This chicks mama every fall takes off and comes back with some baby chicks. She left the nest to tend to the chicks that already hatched. Luckily we found the nest in the tarp barn among the hay bales. We could hear pepping from one egg. We placed the egg in our incubator and voila a chick hatched. Now we have a new house pet and a future egg layer @ Integrated Farms - Home of The Real Pastured Chicken
