Beautiful things are growing in the greenhouse!
#TBT It's April 1 and it's Throw-back-Thursday. Just remembering this fun prank the Farm posted 5 years ago!
Our deepest appreciation to all our friends, family, CSA members & community gardeners (past and present), and local food production enthusiasts for your tremendous support to ‘Get the Water Flowing’ to new fields. Your donations, totaling over $10,000, mean that we can indeed open more community garden plots this season! May you celebrate this Easter week-end with renewed hope for 2021.

2020 has illuminated that we are one family in our common home. May the meaning of Christmas foster light, love, hope, and peace. "The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned." - Matthew 4:16
An opportunity to have your own Root Cellar! Now through to March 31, 2021 As a member of Ignatius Farm CSA and/or community garden, are you frustrated by not having enough fridge space to store your produce? Have you wanted to buy end of season produce in bulk to enjoy nutritious local food all winter long? And maybe you’re interested in increasing your food resilience, saving energy, and making a positive impact on the environment. Lead-builder Ian Findlay of Woodside Ro...ot Cellars and Transition Guelph are excited to invite you to express interest in learning more about having your own passively cooled root cellar! This cool new project is made possible by a Seeding our Food Future grant. In these times of disruption, we see an important opportunity to improve local food resilience and food sovereignty by adopting the ancient technique of root cellar and cold-room storage. Passively cooled root cellars have so many cool benefits: sustainability, no electricity required, environmentally friendly in many ways and are a component of a local living economy. Check out root cellar benefits: https://www.transitionguelph.org//cold-room-benefits-v7.pdf Interested in a free estimate? Give Transition Guelph a shout at [email protected]
