We are thrilled to share that Ignite has been accepted to the Council of Autism Service Providers!
Ignite Behaviour Consulting is seeking a dedicated and energetic Instructor Therapist to join our team! This position will serve the district of Thunder Bay, including, but not limited to: Manitouwadge, Terrace Bay, Marathon and surrounding areas. Instructor Therapists, deliver individualized ABA treatment, in 1:1 setting, to children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities. All Instructor Therapists work under the clinical supervision of our on-site Board... Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Qualifications: Excellent problem solving, communication, organizational skills, and team player abilities. Diploma or a University degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, autism and behaviour science, early childhood education). Experience delivering Intensive Behavioural Intervention would be an asset. Travel will be required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical. Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration. We are thrilled that we are able to continuing providing Foundational Family Services through the Northern Collaborative. We currently still have space in our BCBA Consultation and Caregiver Coaching sessions for October! BCBA Consultation and Caregiver Coaching ... Caregiver coaching sessions will allow parents to work with the Ignite’s BCBA for up to 3 hours, over the course of four weeks. The goal of caregiver coaching is to support families in developing a goal for their child and to provide 1:1 support in person or via videoconference to meet that goal. Sessions will include a combination of direct caregiver coaching with the caregiver and child, and/or the opportunity for the caregiver to discuss challenges and debrief about recommended strategies.
