"...there is obviously uncertainty about what happens once we’re able to return; none bigger than the question of whether or not audiences will be comfortable returning to the theatre in the early stages of being able to do so? This question, amongst many others, will require thoughtful consideration in the coming months as we prepare to return to the stage but make no mistake, we will be back. Happy Opening to ‘Fully Committed’, taking its first bow tonight in the Nickel Studio at the Memorial Centre. Please, if you are healthy and in the mindset to do so, support our friends at Central Alberta Theatre - the team behind this particular show have been hard at work since the fall. Break Bones!

Please Be Advised: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic & with recommendations by both Provincial & Federal Governments to practice self-isolation protocols, Ignition Theatre has been advised to postpone our upcoming production of ‘The Drowning Girls’ scheduled to run April 16-25. FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: While our region currently remains in a state of relative low risk, the situation remains fluid & the number of cases in our region is expected to climb and reach uncertain, bu...t potentially significant numbers; at which point it would be irresponsible to facilitate a public gathering that could jeopardize the health of our artists and audiences and place increased pressure on a health care system that will be pushed to its limits and beyond. We have made this extremely difficult decision in consultation with medical professionals who have urged us to exercise forethought rather than reactionary measures at the 11th hour and beyond - Matt Grue All ticket holders will be contacted and issued a full refund. We fully intend to produce ‘The Drowning Girls in the fall slot of our 2020/2021 season. Please look to our social media platforms and website for information about new dates and a new season. We WILL be back.
