Sensei Clint’s interest in martial arts began with the legendary Bruce Lee. Clint trained in several different styles before opting for Shotokan. He then trained with "The Northern Shotokan Karate Club" that opened in Labrador City in 1985. He then trained on and off for almost 17 years but in January 2000 he returned to the fu...ll time practice of karate. He trained under Sensei Paul Smith, 5th Dan Sensei Frank Saville, 5th Dan and Sensei John Morrissey, 5th Dan. In January of 2004 he successfully tested for his first black belt. However, over time his focus changed. Studying the history, philosophy, techniques and katas, Perfection of the Character of the karate-ka, and the integration of mind and technique became his focus. Clint is constantly analyzing techniques and providing valuable insight to those who train with him. He says," "I have a long way to go but being constantly surrounded by so many good people who practice the martial arts I am really enjoying the journey.

Last night, I took the opportunity to observe my Instructors teach class. My first impression, the technical level has improved considerably. This is due to the... separation of classes by rank. I want to encourage all members to return to training. It is great for mental health. We are continuing with our Covid-19 Guidelines to keep your children safe. I brought a neon spray mist sanitizing gun to spray the floor. Please take this opportunity to attend my classes as I will be in Guyana for a few months. The Campaynes and I took our vaccines today. Dr. Low took his when it first became available. Since Covid-19 began, two walls of the new dojo have been built as well as 42,880 feet of concrete fence. I look forward to advanceing the project much further to the point of a functioning dojo. I invite you to be part of karate history. Don't forget to get a copy of my book. Thank you. Dr. Low teaching our young black belts Jutte, John, our two Indigenous young women, Heian godan and Aubrey, Heian shodan to white belts.
