Here is a short update on the general direction of the real estate market thus far in 2019! It’s important to note: average detached house price has dropped year over year, and while there has been a rise in sales volume in April 2019 we are still below average April sales levels in comparison to the last decade. There is a lack of supply as new listings are not growing as fast as number of sales and transactions, which typically point to a pattern of increasing average sale... price, which has been exactly the case so far in 2019. There has been no action or talk of changing or removing the stress test as of yet.

"The Toronto Real Estate Stats You Need To Know In October" To summarize (the following pertains to the Greater Toronto Area): -> Number of home sales is up by 1.9%, the Toronto Real Estate Board says this indicates that the market is "healthy"... -> Detached house prices are down 0.6% from September 2017 -> Condo prices are up by a whopping 11.7% since September 2017 (Eleven point seven!!!) -> In September 2016, the height of 2016's buying frenzy, there were 9,902 homes sold.
