As the current issues persist, we are looking for creative ways to give! We're pleased to announce that we are offering our facility to any pastors who find themselves in need of a prayer retreat over the months of April and May (At least). It was amazing to see everyone online for the AGM last week and even more amazing that we were able to accept a full Board of Directors! Please help me welcome them from left to right, top to bottom: Barb Roycroft, President Sammy Hampton, Heidi Schaaf, Treasurer David Cavilla, Secretary Zachary Hampton, Amy Bradley, Vice President Daniel Layton, and Florence Pole. The role of a board member sounds easy however it takes many hours of volunteer work and a strong desire to see the purpose of the camp fulfill. These wonderful people have a heart for God and a heart for camp and have graciously decided to share their time with us. If you see any of these smiling faces out an about make sure to thank them for serving the camp!

You asked so we will deliver. A few more stories coming your way over the next few weeks from some of the people dedicated to serving at the camp. To get us rolling meet our caretakers, the Layton family. Jordan and I are feeling very blessed these days as ILCRC manager and caretaker. We have had some amazing experiences and personal growth through this position and all that it brings. While we haven’t been able to spend as much time with the members and hosting groups due t...o COVID the opportunities are still endless. The camp is a very tranquil place to spend time and life takes on a friendly pace where there are always projects to tackle and always something of God’s magnificence to take in. When we are not working on camp related things there really isn’t anywhere else we’d rather be! Our entire family enjoys hiking the trails, spending time down at the dock, and going kayaking. We hike the trails all year long and love the coziness of camp in the winter. You feel as if a blanket is wrapped around you thanks to all the snow and being able to sit in front of the fire and enjoy, it really doesn’t get any better. Our children enjoy when we have to go up to the building and work because they get to help out and they always hope that we will have some guests or a group for them to meet. We have made a few new friends through COVID and the camp and we look forward to actually being able to socialize with everyone in the future. The relationships that are made at this camp will certainly last through this tough season and I really can’t wait to be a part of the future of camp and all the new relationships that will be formed. While there has certainly been some struggles we have seen a growth in passion for the camp and a desire for people to be involved. We are proud and blessed to be a part of the camp and to be able to see this growth and love for God and the way he works in the camp. See more
