Janssen's Farm Fresh Produce is a family farm that was first established in 1984 in Appin, Ontario where they started out growing apples. Expanding from the apples, they began growing a variety of other fruits and vegetables and today grow over 45 different fruits and vegetables! ... In 2010 they constructed high tunnels which they use for soil-grown fruit and vegetables. In these high tunnels they can grow healthier and higher quality fruits and vegetables with little to no pesticide use. VENDOR SPOTLIGHT Haydn Rutledge, of the Dough Joe Bakery, is a graduate of Fanshawe College's Culinary School. He uses his skill in the kitchen to create the most delicious gourmet cookies. Somehow he's found that perfect balance between crunchy and chewy, sweet but not too sweet. He loads his cookies with large chunks of Hersey bars, Oreos, strawberries, white chocolate, and macadamias, and uses only the finest ingredients. And to make your morning treat complete, the Dough Joe Bakery will also be selling hot cups of coffee using beans from the local roaster, O Joe's Coffee! @thedoughjoebakery

Spots are filling up - don’t delay! The IABA has decided to sponsor our Young Entrepreneur's Booth for the 2021 season! If your child/youth has something that they've made, baked, or grown themselves and would like to sell it one Saturday morning at our market, please send us a private message listing the child's name, items they wish to sell, and their preferred Saturday. (No reselling permitted)... Here's the details: A table and tent will be set up and ready for use. You must bring your own chairs, a cash float, and any signs or display items you wish to use. All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All children/youths must remain at the market from 8 am - 12 noon. They must also follow the COVID-19 public safety requirements which currently are: wear a face mask, use hand sanitizer or soap & water after handling change, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. The market runs every Saturday morning, rain or shine, from June 12 - October 9th, 8 am - 12 noon (except for the Saturday during the Fair, October 2nd.) There are only 17 Saturdays in our season, and the booth is booked on a first-come, first-served basis, so book your Saturday now!

What's in the pot today? It's powdered madder root, rose flower wax, pink kaolin clay, and coconut oil. Once it's melted, I'll mix it into a pot of olive oil and it will become the base for my lovely Rose Silk Soap.

It’s a Golden morning on zee farm!
