2020 definitely will be a year we won't soon forget (or will we ?!). A year that started off with so much excitement as we had skaters and synchro teams qualify for Nationals, Ice Ignite Junior competed at their first international competition and all of our skaters from CanSKATE to competitive achieving so many of their goals. Quickly the year turned to lockdowns, masks and social distancing but we kept believing and achieving throughout the uncertanties. As we enter into ...a new year full of new hopes and new dreams, let’s take a moment and reflect on another (although very different) successful year! We are so proud of all our skaters and everything they accomplished and the resilence they showed in 2020. They were definitely tested and away from the ice more than they wanted to be, but our skaters & coaches adapted to the ever-changing "new normal" and achieved SO many great things. Cheers to you ISC family on making the best of 2020. We are hopeful for a brighter 2021 that is full of lots of skating and doing what we love. Wishing you all a safe, healthy and happy new year!

Here is Ice Ignite Pre-Juvenile skating to The Grinch! The Grinch is a fan favourite! Our Pre-Juvie team was so excited to "bring it back" as some of them skated to it last year. We are so proud of our PJ team and how they have come together this season. "Run Run Rudolph!" - Rudolph currently Ice Ignite Elementary has SO much fun on the ice every single week. Even if they can't practice with all their teammates some weeks, or have yet to hold on to do "synchro elements" this year. When we see how happy they are JUST to be on the ice, it reminds their coaches that everything is going to be alright! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU to all those who came out to our Bottle Drive yesterday, in support of our Ice Ignite synchro program. It was a great day, filled with LOTS of empties. We are extremely grateful for all the support. Stay tuned for final tally of total number of empties collected! Also, a BIG thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen!

Our first Parent and Tot session was a hit! We are so happy to be able to get the little ones on the ice (with some help from their friends ). Looking forward to next week already!

Many of us at the Ilderton Skating Club have been fortunate enough to cross paths with Bill Boland. Bill was truly one of a kind and did so much for the sport of figure skating, especially in our area. He will be missed dearly. Our thoughts are with the Boland family during this difficult time.

We are looking forward to getting all our skaters safely back on the ice in the very near future. Although our return to skating may look a little different this year, we are aiming to get our STARSkaters back on the ice in September and to offer our CanSKATE sessions starting in October!
