In today’s toolbox we were talking about Drowning Prevention. With snow melting and new precipitation falling as rain, water levels will rise and creeks and streams will be fast-flowing at times. And every parent knows that water is like a magnet for kids. Supervise children carefully when around water and advise them to stay well clear of banks that could be slippery with underlying ice or mud.

This month's social event was a pumpkin carving contest! The winner will be announced on the 31st so don't forget to vote for your favourites! A special thank you to our Social Committee here at ILF-CAN for putting this together and to all who participated. Happy Halloween!

We are excited to announce that our employee Mohsen Andayesh received an award from Canadian Society for Civil Engineers (CSCE) for the paper The constructs of site layout modeling: an overview, part of his Ph.D. thesis. The Stephen G. Revay Award is presented by CSCE every two years for the best paper in the areas of construction engineering, construction management or project management. Congratulations on your success Mohsen!
