To all clients of Image Plus Photography, It's been a crazy month, and with each passing day things are getting more uncertain and more tragic. Both my businesses (my wedding photography and my Pro Lab Print studio) have taken a hit, but I'm positive we'll all get through this and things will return to some sort of normal by the year's end, and hopefully sooner. I'm under no illusions: my own situation is a far better one than those faced by hundreds of thousands of other pe...ople right now. I'm hanging with my beautiful wife and kids and getting in a lot of family time and planning ahead for things to come. As of today though, we will not be scheduling any indoor photo-shoots or indoor engagement sessions. Any shoots that have been already scheduled will need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Now about weddings; for all our couples out there, we have a simple message: if the government will let us get to your wedding well be there. For those who are considering changing your wedding date (especially in the next few months), allow me to make a few suggestions: Postpone. Things will get better. Treatments are in the pipeline. A vaccine will come. Life will return to normal at some point. So, keep your wedding the way you planned it, just at a different time. Also consider weekday options. If you push your date back to the end of the year, you will find it much easier to keep the vendors you've already chosen. It seems to me that many people are opting to push back their date to October/November/December. Weekends are now at a premium. Consider scaling down your big day. Make it a small and intimate affair. Your guests will understand. Your stress levels will lower. You've less chance of suddenly discovering that your event is in breach of the law, which seems to be changing daily. And I'll still be able to give you the photos you really want. To those planning your wedding in 2021: be at ease. As I mentioned, this will pass, and life will go on. And I'll be on the other end of the camera taking photos, somewhere. somehow. If you do choose to reschedule your wedding, please be assured that your deposit will not be lost. Whether its for late this year, or even in 2021. Flexibility, Understanding, Compassion. If we paid for your flight and a hotel for three or four nights would you be interested in coming to Fort Lauderdale in March and taking pics of our wedding for a few hours?
