Even if ya have super dark hair, ya don't haveta have super dark brows! But darkening them - at least a bit - helps to frame those gorgeous peepers and makes for a more complete overall look! So don't be afraid to reach for that powder, pencil, or gel - or get them tinted! It might take a bit to get used to, but you will love them! It's been a busy week back to work after some time off last week - thanks so much for all your patience & understanding! We all need a little breather every now and again right Took a little road trip with the hubs, had a cozy stay @emeraldlakelodge Got to walk with a gorgeous 100% wolf in the wild at @northernlightswolfcentre (and got a slobbery kiss!), ... And went on to check out #radium & #invermere and chilled at our favorite spot by the river in #kananaskis We relaxed, ate too much and drank all the wine. But most importantly we relished in nature in all her glory ! @ Alberta To British Columbia

Center Stage Let's chat growth serums, shall we!! Unless you're blessed with the lashes of a newborn and the brows of Lily Collins, everyone wants fuller, thicker, darker lashes & brows. Especially because that's all we see of each other these days I have tried a couple other brands and they made my lids and brows red, itchy and even flaky. And I've heard that some brands can even affect your eye color...that can't be good. ... PLUME SCIENCE is by far my favorite! plant based - paraben, alcohol, fragrance free cruelty free made in Canada (Calgary in fact!) and girl, it WORKS!!! so I legit accidentally deleted my before photo and now I have lash extensions but I still use it to keep my lashes strong. (Why do I have extensions then you may ask? Cuz I am straight up in the mornings. Minimal makeup and top knots for this girl). Anywho, I use this serum in both my lashes & brows to keep them strong & healthy and to stimulate new growth. I have honestly noticed so many newbie hairs since using @plumescience Go ahead and zoom in on my brow - yes I need a wax - but other than the obvious ones that don't belong, the new growth are the ones that look a bit shorter and a bit more fine than the rest. They will get stronger if I don't remove them, so I'm leaving them alone! I'm hoping you can see the areas I am growing back in - The inner part of head of brow, underneath for natural progression to the arch, and the tails. Our hair naturally gets more sparse as we age due to - you guessed it, hormones. If sparseness is due to overwaxing or over tweezing, helping clients grow their brows back in is one of my fave things to do! It's a process, but can be done, and this toxin free serum can help!! A friend recently reminded me to do something for myself - and I really needed this reminder. Maybe it's weird to admit to wanting some alone time during this whole social distancing thing, but we can't take care of anyone else unless we take care of ourselves first. I've been pecking away at refinishing my dads table and chairs and man does it ever feel good to tap into that creative side and get lost in my thoughts & reconnect with myself... I hope you take time for you - even if it's just snippets, make it happen every day. Read a book (even if it's only 2 pages at a time), sit in the sun for 5 minutes, make an epic playlist, walk barefoot in the grass (I highly recommend this one! Well anything to do with nature really). Lash Lift & Tint I've been getting lots of questions about how a Lash Lift is done, so swipe to see a sped up video of the process! This session is done on your lashes, I apply an eye shield (aka rod) to your lid, then we gently curl your lashes onto that shield so they stay. (This is the crucial part for me, as how I lay your lashes on that shield is how they will look after! #PlacementIsKey)... This is a chemical process to alter the state of your lashes (that's what gives them the curl) but it's quite gentle and you don't feel a thing! You get to just lay there and chill. I can see your lash line the entire time, so no fear of anything getting into your eyes. That's just when you look a bit like an alien (again see video) Then we remove the shields, do a beautiful tint to really make them pop and you're on your way! fyi: You can still wear mascara after if you'd like, but much like our head hair - the more you wash, the faster it will fade . .
