Had an amazing session with one of my clients this morning. We were talking about relationships and how when you are dating, it's kind of like shopping. Some ...people go out shopping and buy the first thing that they see. Others window shop. Let's say you are interested in a car for instance. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to buy a car immediately. You want to research the type of car you want, have it checked out, find out if there have been accidents with it, and so on. In other words, you want to look under the hood. You might even look at other cars. And when you have made a decision tat this is the car for you, that's the time to go out and buy it. It's the same as dating. When we are out there dating, it's a good idea to do some window shopping. When you are shopping, you need to watch your budget too. Again, its the same with dating. What do you need to think about when you are looking for that special guy or girl? It's important to think about how much time you will budget for and allow for things like red flags, drama, the fact that there may not be that heart connection. Look under the hood. If you start dating someone and you are not attracted to them, there is still the possibility that something wonderful might come of it. If you are dating someone and suddenly there is drama, red flags, and more, you might want to look at how this will affect your life in the long term and pay attention to these red flags. Are these patterns that the person is likely to repeat? It that persons life filled with all kinds of drama and chaos, so much so that it affects your own life? If you are out dating, it's like the car. Make a list, a very specific list of what you want in your mate, just like you would with a car. I'm not talking about height, weight, eye colour and things like that. Those are all about the outer shell, and truthfully have nothing to do with the person inside. But be aware of the deeper issues that may make it difficult to have a long term relationship. If the brakes are shot on the car, or the transmission is almost completely in need of an overhaul, do you think you will buy the car? I think not. "Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life and here to make a contribution". - Deepak Chopra Going into the forest yesterday, was the best thing we could have done. Trees purify the air and allow us to take a breath for a period of time. Every corner we turned, took our breath away, and then as we inhaled, we were able to take in a full breath of pure thought, and openness to all that was, all that is and to all that is yet to be. In the forest, there is... no rain, no clouds, no darkness. Just a canopy of love. The leaves as they fell, made a crinkly sound, you know the kind I mean. As they fell to the ground, they knew the contribution they made, was one of beauty. In the spring, they opened their buds and spread their green leaves out to the sun. In the fall their colour changes, and when the time is right, they return to the earth so that they will nourish the ground and prepare it for the coming spring. That is the way of all things. Trees and leaves contribute many gifts to our lives. So many. As we continued our walk, we came upon some geese who were having an evening sip of water from a pond nearby. A couple of them didn't realize that they had feathers in their beak. They would learn soon enough, and remove the obstacles to clear sight, and forward motion. It is the way of nature. If you pay attention, nature also lets us see it's love for us in another way. Hearts show up everywhere in nature if we open our hearts to see. The lilies are in their last bloom of the season. They are beautiful no matter what the season. Their contribution to life is beauty, elegance, and love. And then, just as the bright red sun was making may for the moon to come out to shine its own light, we came upon a spider. Spiders remind us that we can do many things. Stay stuck in the web we weave, or dream, plan, and bring our goals into reality. Which would you choose? My message for you today, is to dream, and to weave your dream into existence. To know that all things have a purpose and all sentient beings contribute to humanity in their own way. Even in the smoke we "see" the light. Yesterday, Jeff Ilutowicz and I took a walk on the spit. When we go for a walk there, we stop and talk to people we have... come to know. None of us was able to make it to the end of the spit yesterday, because the smoke and poor air quality was just too much. It was a labor of love, to take the photos we were able to snap, before heading back. The conversations we had before we even started our walk, reminded us once again that we are all in this together and we must take care of each other, our animal kingdom, nature and everyone who touches our lives. Wishing for clear skies for all of the States affected by fires at the moment. The sun looked hauntingly beautiful yesterday. We said we would walk as long as we could. So our first goal was the first bench. We did it. As we went further, it became more difficult. But, we are troopers. We saw an unusual sight for this area. Several rats, were in the bushes, foraging for food. Weird to have them here, as this is not where they would normally hang out. They too are confused. As we walked we saw a Falcon in a nearby tree. A welcome sight and a reminder to be patient, to know when to start, and to know when to wait. To know that centuries have gone by and nature still survives. While these photos are not so clear, the bright red sun did make an appearance for a few moments, and we caught a couple of awesome shots of a sparrow or two. When I got up this morning, there were 3 ever elusive Kingfishers darting about by my deck. Kingfishers are about peace, prosperity and love. They are about new warmth, and sunshine. If a kingfisher comes into your life, or if it is your totem and shows up over and over again, perhaps this is a sign that something new wants to happen. Maybe it is a message to dive in. Dive into the activities that you have been thinking about but have not yet realized. My message for you today, is that nature is full of powerful messages, and signs. Do not miss them. And please trust the signs you receive. We had an amazing conversation after we took this walk. I am diving in. Diving into new projects, revisiting some of the old ideas and creating beauty, inspiration and love. How about you? What do you need to dive into today? Empaths are feeling the energies these days. All of my empaths are talking about the same kinds of things right now. Mostly because we are unconsciously feeling the vibrations of the world and because Mars is currently in retrograde. You may have seen Mars very close to the moon in the past few weeks. And for most that will be creating a ton of chaos in your... world. Anxiety, frustration, loneliness and a feeling of disconnect is a part of it. Communication, misunderstandings and more. Appliances that stop working, computers, cars, calendars, stoves, fridges all suddenly seem to be on the fritz. Online maything seems to have its moments of clarity and moments whete you cant hear a thing. Phone calls get dropped or you will hear a muffled sound instead of clear voices at the other end of the phone. Tv or videos you watch, may suddenly be disrupted. And yet in all the disconnect, we are birthing something new. As you travel your empaths journey, yes there will be bumps along the way and continuing your journey will make you stronger, more confident and more full of things to celebrate. So hold onto your hat until mid November for this one. Mercury retrograde is coming right up in October so hang on and carry on. Giddy up. Let’s get it done.
