Imagine Performing Arts Calgary 10.05.2021

We are excited to introduce our cast and creative team for our April Master Suite Reading - Dreams of Broadway 2 - featuring: Josie Smith, Erin Demers, Ivy Poetker, Bonni Pierce, Bruce Fraser, Jane Tetley, Jason Thomas, Jeff Larsen, Kal Macdonald, Wendy Froberg, Ashley Soles, Maya Kowalczewski, Alexa Jobs and Jane Davies along with writer Jay Newman, performer and musical director Harold Squire and writer/director Darryl Lindenbach. It seems as though this show has been forev...er in the making and we are happy that it will finally get (at least in some way) to the (virtual) stage, and are excited to welcome back most of our original cast along with a few new dreamers to finally set it free. The reading of Dreams of Broadway 2 will be streamed on our YouTube Channel (Imagine PA) at 7:00pm Saturday, April 24. Audiences may access the reading via the YouTube channel or by a direct link that will be posted on our website (https://www.imagine-yyc.com/mst-dreams-of-broadway2-april-24) early next week. About the Show: This original musical revue showcases the dreams, passion and frustrations of a life in the arts. It's tech week for Imagine PA's musical fundraiser and the community cast of all ages struggles to keep it together as egos and ambitions clash. With 30 songs spanning 70 years, Dreams 2 is a stirring story of the human spirit and the challenges of following your dreams.

We are excited to announce our April Master Suite Theatre show - Dreams of Broadway 2! While we will be doing another new show this month, this one will be a bit different. For two years now we have tried to get our next scripted revue, Dreams 2, to the stage, and as that won't be possible this season either, we decided to give it a go in a unique way. Music is certianly challenging to do online and Master Suite Theatre will give audiences a unique look at Dreams 2 and the ...crafting of the show. We are excited to have most our original 2019/20 cast back for this version (and give them a chance to finally perform for someone) and will be filling any vacant roles from the interest already submitted to MST.
