Today, we will provide some information on how the IRCC measures may impact individuals applying for Work Permit Applications: Online Work Permit Applications are being accepted and processed at this time. While some Visa Application Centres (VAC) are temporarily closed, you may go to a VAC that isn’t in your country of residence. Due to the ongoing service disruptions, IRCC has automatically giving applicant 90 days from the date on the letter (instead of 30) to gi...ve your Biometrics. Work Permit Holders who are currently in Canada are able to apply to extend their status online, and may remain in Canada until a decision is made on their new application. Work Permit Holder currently traveling outside Canada, or Foreign Nationals who received his/her Work Permit Approval before March 18, 2020 are allowed to travel to Canada at this time.
