OINP UPDATE ON EXPRESSION OF INTEREST INTAKE PROCESS As per the OINP’s Information session we had today, we have the following information that may help in planning your OINP application under Employer Job Offer Programs like International Student, Foreign Worker & In-Demand Skills Streams. The new intake process that will involve Expression of Interest (EOI) will be implemented in 8-10 months time and not right away although the amendments may be completed by Oct 24, 2020.... Till that time the current process based on ‘First Come First Basis’ registration approach will continue As you know, the current intake process is not a fair as it depends on how fast the applicant can register when the program opens. However, we will continue to help create the steps for our clients that can help register in short time till new intake process by EOI is implemented. Therefore, if you are interested in registering in International Student or Foreign Worker Stream, you can retain our services so that we can set up the initial process and send you the steps to get registered when the program opens. However, please understand that when the new intake program with EOI will start, intake will happen only if you are invited to apply based on the points you get when we create EOI. EOI will be based on various factors like Labor Market/Employment, Education, Language, Regionalization or Strategic priorities etc. We do not have complete info on this yet. However, since the invitations will depend on decision of OINP on which skill sets they require at that time, language or education may hopefully not affect your selection since all of them will be competing with their peers only in those occupations that will be invited in that round. But as said earlier, we are waiting for more info to come.

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON OINP INTAKE PROCESS The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program is amending the rules for intake registration that will be effective Oct 23, 2020 Under this new intake system, candidates are likely to create profiles by way of Expression of Interest (EOI) that will become part of the OINP pool... As per the proposed amendments the prospective applicants will be ranked based on the information provided in their EOI. OINP will review the scores and issue ITAs to select registrants. Those who receive an ITA will then be able to apply to be nominated under the OINP stream. All the Employer Job Offer Steams including International Students, Foreign Worker and In-Demand Skills Streams should be covered in this amended intake process. This change was kind of overdue because these programs have become very popular and many aspirants faced problems to register even if they were eligible. However, please see that this change in intake may affect your registration with OINP We will update you when we have more information on this.
