Three year ago Larry Enkin told us a story about how his father had helped 2,500 Holocaust survivors find a new life in Canada after the Second World War. Their success in this country began with employment in garment industry. This business-led initiative is the inspiration for the Impakt Foundation for Social Change. Over the last three years Impakt collaborated with Larry and helped uncovered the stories of the tailors and their families. We hope the Tailor Project book ...will reach many people who never knew about the Tailor Project. The stories of resilience, courage and hope from the tailors and their families are riveting. It's also a "made in Canada" story about the power of business to effect social change that aligns with Impakt’s mission of helping business solve social problems. You can pre-order a Tailor Project book from Second Story Press: https://secondstorypress.ca/adult/tailor-project

Very pleased to share that the Impakt Foundation for Social Change has been designated as a charitable organization. The Impakt Foundation's mission is to create pathways to employment for people in need is inspired by The Tailor Project which brought 2,500 Holocaust survivors to Canada to work in the apparel industry. This inspiring example of the role Canadian business plays in supporting the needs of newcomers and other vulnerable people continues today through the work ...of the Impakt Foundation.
