A Heartfelt Thank you for a Successful 2nd Annual Turk Turley Memorial Golf Tournament We couldn’t have asked for a better day to host the 2nd Annual Turk Turley Memorial Golf Tournament. The weather and course were both perfect and everyone came ready to have a tremendous day in memory of Turk and in support of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation. The interest in the Turk Turley Memorial Golf Tournament is overwhelming and is all because of the generosity of ...each and every one of the sponsors. This year we had a sold out field of 148 golfers and raised $12,500.00 for the STEGH Foundation as well as four $750.00 scholarships for local high school students. Each year we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our suppliers, clients, friends and members of our community who without question contribute to our cause. You make planning such a successful event easy! We cannot thank you enough for your continued support of our tournament. In particular we would like to acknowledge our many hole sponsors, gift contributors and corporate sponsors: Spicers Paper, Kodak Canada, Dajcor Aluminum, Ariva Paper, Capital Management Group, Avison Young, Dowler-Karn, ND Graphics, Rapid Binding, Summer Skates, Rocky’s Harley Davidson and A Universal Limousine. A few highlights to be shared: This year we welcomed special guest Wendel Clark who joined two foursomes throughout the day to add to an already sold out and exciting event. The Caesar hole presented by Legends Tavern in St. Thomas was a huge hit with all participants enjoying in a perfectly mixed Canadian specialty! I think it’s only fitting to congratulate Jim Waite for a hole-in-one on the Elgin Chrysler closest to the pin contest on #13, although it wasn’t for the $10,000.00 or the Harley Davidson; Jim still went home with a new TV Courtesy of Elgin Chrysler.
