InARTE Journal 03.05.2021

Hi there! My name is Aná (she/her) and I am in my 2nd year of Art Education. I am also the Social Media Coordinator here at the InARTE Journal. I am a multidisciplinary artist mainly focused on performance. Through the arts I find ways to maintain my creativity alive during these stressful times. It’s been challenging to work from home, but I believe this is the perfect time to explore new strategies and revisit the way we make art. Hope to see your work and process on our 1...1th edition. #inartejournal #artjournal #meetmeonmonday

InARTE Journal 23.04.2021

Hello, I’m Jean-Philippe. I am the graphic designer for the journal. I am currently in my 2nd year in the Art Education program. I am grateful to have a dedicated space for studio work. My practice is mainly acrylic painting and drawing. Giving myself little goals and projects has helped me. It is hard to continue my practice with everything that goes along with school. This is why I choose to take classes that pertain to my art practice, so I can continue to improve. I believe that the more you know about your own practice and art making, the better teacher you will be. This is how I remained creative during this quarantine. #inartejournal #artjournal #meetmeonmonday

Hi my name is Morgane (she/her), and I am the editor for the InARTE journal this year as well as a third year Art Education student at Concordia. Through lesson planning for my elementary school student teaching placement and painting in my personal practice as well as for school, I have managed to stay creative during isolation. I mainly paint in acrylic, rendering a grotesque style using saturated colours and text as visual devices to illustrate narratives in a surrealist imagined world. Through my student teaching placement, I was immersed in contemporary Art Education discussion due to continuously evolving teaching conditions (as a result of the pandemic). Here’s a bit about my studio practice during quarantine I can’t wait to see all your submissions for this upcoming issue! #inartejournal #artjournal #meetmeonmonday

Hi, my name is Andrea Rosati (she/her) and I am in my 3rd year of Art Education! I am the Assistant Editor here at the InARTE Journal and I look forward to seeing all of your exciting and creative submissions for our 11th issue! Typically I am a multidisciplinary artist that loves to explore art making through various mediums such as Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Print-Making, as well as fibers through my sewing and embroidery practice. While I pull inspiration from the envir...onment around me, I am deeply fascinated by science and rendering microscopic images. This is how i’ve been staying creative during isolation!
