Good afternoon folks ! After much thought and consideration our team has decided that it is in our best interest to remain closed during the extended lockdown. To level with y’all , January is already a slow time for the restaurant industry. And this current lockdown has definitely put most small businesses in a very precarious situation, forcing us to make decisions we had never anticipated in order to try to survive.... Unfortunately we cannot sustain on take out simply put, as an establishment that relies on downtown business lunch traffic that no longer exists at this point in time, and provides an environment that sells more than just food , we will have to remain closed until further notice. We are truly hoping the Ontario government will be throwing all small businesses a life preserver here instead of allowing such an important part of our local economy drown! It comes with a very heavy heart , and we did not come to this conclusion without the involvement of our staff and community members. However given the circumstances we will be closing until further notice. We believe it is important that we do our best in supporting our community, and for now we feel that means we must close temporarily. We will reassess our situation and the possibility to offer take out and our pay it forward meals to those in need as things change and b...ecome more clear. We will take things on a day to day , week by week basis, and will try to update as soon as possible. Good Morning! To all of our customers , and supporters at In Common, we acknowledge the trying time our community is facing in navigating through the impact of Covid-19. We take the health and safety of everyone into account on a daily basis , as we take our Grade A very seriously.... We can assure you that our staff are all trained to ensure the highest of standards are met, and we will continue our highest quality of service and health and safety protocols are being followed. You will notice our staff taking extra precaution to ensure high touch surfaces are cleansed numerous times through out the day, that hand washing is ramped up , even more so than ever, and that we are ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all. We have asked all staff to remain at home if sick, and are asking the same of our patrons. We will remain open as a space that continues to offer safety , inclusivity and kindness during this troubling time. As of right now we are committed to staying calm, staying kind and keeping our doors open with extra precautions. If any changes are to occur, we will update our status, as situations evolve!
