ISC/SCI member wins the Purple Pen award! The Institute of Certified Indexers has announced that Jess Klaassen-Wright has won the 2020 Purple Pen Competition. At a recent AGM, the ISC/SCI announced the winners of two annual society awards. Congratulations to Carla DeSantis and Anna Olivier, co-winners of the Ewart-Daveluy Award for Excellence in Indexing. Carla received this award for her outstanding index to Heather Bamford's Cultures of the Fragment: Uses of the Iberian Manuscript, 11001600, published by University of Toronto Press and Anna (Index à la page) for her incredible work on the index for Les générations des Soufis: Ta...baqat al-sufiyya de Abu Abd al-Rahman, Muhammad b. Husayn al-Sulam, translated and presented by Jean-Jacques Thibon, and published by Brill. The ISC/SCI would also like to congratulate Margaret de Boer, winner of the Tamarack Volunteer of the Year Award, for her dedication to the society.
