Here is another one. These waivers are forwarded on from Preventative Health Insurance: The use of waivers was always a good practice but going forward we feel it becomes mandatory. We are sending you some samples which fellow Practitioners designed and willingly agreed to share with you.... hello Everyone, this is a bit of a long read but well worth your time. Today I received some valuable information to help with opening up for business again as a Holistic Practitioner. I wanted to share this information which I received from my insurance provider, Preventative Health Services Group, as a starting place to begin to prepare for opening up your business again. Please note that some of this information is specific to Preventative Insurance and if you are with a...nother provider you should contact them for specifics of their coverage during this time. Also ALWAYS follow the guidelines regarding Covid-19 provided by your provincial government. Here are links to the letter I received as well as examples of waivers it is suggested we will need to use. If you have any questions about the information I am sharing please contact your insurance provider directly and the Provincial Government Covid websites that apply to you. Dear Practitioners, We hope that everyone is doing well in these unprecedented times. We are contacting you regarding your concern about your policy through Preventative Health Services Group and COVID-19. Your insurance continues uninterrupted and each potential claim will be examined individually as per the below email. In regards to requirements about wearing gowns, gloves, masks, and eye protectors, the insurer expects you to follow closely the guidelines given by your professional association and if there is none then the ones set forth by the provincial or federal government. Here are some links, we found extremely helpful in regards to guidelines of BC and Ontario to health practitioners and I am sure any other province will set forth guidelines going back to work. Please do your diligent research as well. https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en https://www.worksafebc.com//covid-19-re/personal-services www.health.gov.on.ca//publich/coronavirus/dir_mem_res.aspx We hope this information answers your questions and if we can be of any further assistance to you please let us know. Stay safe and healthy. Yours sincerely George & Thelxi Keramaris Preventative Health Services Group www.phsg.ca 416-423-2765 From: Arash Oqab [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 22, 2020 10:18 AM To: Preventative Health Services Group Cc: Preventative Health Services Group Subject: RE: COVID-19 Good morning Thelxi, Berkley advised they have no formal position on COVID-19 and that the merits / situation of the claim will determine if the policy will respond. Berkley advised that practitioners should be following the guidelines of their governing body and if they do not have one, then they should follow the guidelines set by the government. I trust the above is informative.
