Today is #bellletstalkday. Before #bellletstalk was created we weren’t having this conversation as commonly and openly as we are now. And for that I am grateful to Bell for. After the last year we had, it is more important than ever to #endthestigma and keep these conversations going. Many of you know I lost my brother not too long ago to mental illness. It was a battle he fought his entire life. And though this only happened 6 years ago, we were not having these conversation...s then like we are now. And we certainly weren’t having these conversations when we were kids growing up, even though his mental health should have been in conversation his entire life. I think about how his life might have been different if we knew what we know now about mental health. And I think about how our children might grow up differently if we keep this conversation going. I miss my brother. I miss the idea of growing older with him. I think about what he would think of his niece and nephews... how proud he’d be of his incredibly smart and caring son. Reach out to your loved ones. Let them know it’s ok to talk. Even though life looks so pretty on Instagram, we ALL have our struggles. Some days they weigh heavier then others. A little shelfie switch up was on my to-do list for a while now to showcase all of my pretty new vases. Both the river rock and geometric vases are a big favourite. Notice how I styled the Esmé upside down. She’s also shown here in the new jute colour. What are you more drawn to? The geometric vase or the earthy rock vases? They have such different energies but somehow they all work together here.

I’m a home body. I love working from home. I love staying in rather than going out. Having slow and easy weekends are few and far between but I take them as a total blessing. With having so much on the go all of the time, keeping things that don’t need to be complicated as simple as possible is key. Having three kids, I have seen my fair share of messes. So when I find a product that makes cleaning a little easier, I get really excitedmaybe a little too excited. Has it really only been one week since Scott has left to the west coast to work? Solo parenting with three kiddos is... full on. You just always have to be one step ahead and on your toes. The kids have been good for the most part but between, lunch making, homework, chauffeuring to schools, daycares and after school activities by the end of the day I’m spent. My house could be in shambles and the laundry pile grows higher and higher but everyone is happy and healthy. With no family here to lean on I have to say I am the luckiest person to have the most amazing friends for both help and for moral support. Sending the biggest virtual hug out to them all right now. And it doesn’t hurt to get my makeup done by @allisonkirbyy every once in a while for a little pick me up.

THE SIMPLE LIFE. When you hear that, what is the first thing that comes to mind? For me it’s all about time. Spending time with the ones I love and not wasting time on things that don’t matter. While the kids are growing at a crazy pace, I’ve also noticed how Scott and I have aged over the last few years. Those little rugrats can do a number on you. Getting as much quality time together as possible is so important. That’s why I plan to keep this holiday as simple as possible and get all of my shopping done for the grownups in one place at @markscanada. They have so many great gift ideas! Operation decorate for the Holidays began today. I don’t really have a plan. All I know is lots of greenery, spray paint and DIY’s will be involved.

Happy Weekend! If you could be anywhere in the world with anyone you want, where and who would you be with? Ill go first. Hawaii with my family. Dreaming of the next time we travel again. Until then, staycations at dreamy places like this will more then do.
