Wood Buffalo is family and right now a family member needs our help. 10-year-old Ameilia Powder from the FORT MCKAY First Nation URGENTLY requires a stem cell ...transplant, within the next two to three months. Only 1.3% of the Canadian Blood Services’ Stemcell Registry is made up of people of Indigenous descent, making it hard for patients like Ameilia to find a match. We are asking anyone aged 17 35 to please sign up to be a potential stem cell donor today! You might just be the lifesaving match for Ameilia or the other 800+ Canadian patients. It’s quick, convenient and pain free. All you need to do is register by visiting www.blood.ca/match4ameilia and we will have a swab kit expressed shipped to you. Every swab gives hope to Ameilia and her family. Together we can find her lifesaving match. #beahero #getswabbed #match4ameilia

In 2021, we must act to protect the environment. In many places, including the globally important Amazon rainforest, this ambition would be enhanced by complian...ce with international laws protecting Indigenous peoples’ inherent rights. To realize our potential as an environmental steward, Canada must do more to uphold and enforce Indigenous constitutional and inherent rights, including rights to self-government, to land and to the protection of resources. Are you a descendant of someone who was in the resistance at Batoche? There is a group of us that organized and have incorporated under the Corporations Branch. We began this discussion in the summer of 2017. I have notified the Federal Government by email that this group has the first right to any negotations, agreements, offers to anything regarding the 1885 NorthWest resistance at Batoche, Fish Creek nd Duck Lake. Parks Canada has signed an agreement with the MNS to negotiate land!!! The MNS does not have the first right, we the direct ancestors do. We started this group to protect our claim. The Metis Nation - Saskatchewan is not representative of us. Please join to keep up to date.

Please support MaryAnn, she won the initial court application. MNS said they were appealing the ruling in July 2019, they submitted their paperwork to the court and have not proceeded with the appeal. They have also still not supplied the voters list from the 2017 election that the judge ruled she was entitled to and the MNS had advised they would supply after the election. The MNS is stalling the appeal to keep Maryann out, she was elected with more than half of the voters voting for her. The MNS is keeping out the elected Treasurer, who is an accountant. Wonder why she scares them!!! Help MaryAnn make the MNS accountable!
