Indigenous Physical Activity & Cultural Circle 01.03.2021

The 8th Annual National Indigenous Physical Activity & Wellness Virtual Conference is right around the corner! IPACC is happy to announce some of our finalized speakers and there will be many more to join them! This is the nation's largest conference on Physical Activity & Wellness for First Nations, Métis and Inuit people, created for all of those with an interest in sports, recreation, fitness, and traditional activity who may be band council members; health directors, repr...esentatives, or health practitioners; counsellors or social workers; federal, provincial, or municipal health employees; academics; researchers; recreation workers; coaches; fitness instructors; cultural leaders; community members, and all others interested in the promotion of health and wellness through physical activity. Next, we would like to share our Standing Yoga poster which highlights another one of our Indigenous community members, Jared Sam, modelling and demonstrating some standing yoga poses. We encourage you to try some of these poses by yourself, with a partner, or with your family! These exercises are designed so that they can be done at home, at work, or outdoors in nature.
