Earlier this year ITAC launched the COVID-19 Stimulus Fund to assist Indigenous tourism operators to invest in measures which minimize the impact of COVID-19. The first program intake ran between April 07 April 30, 2020. In June, Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Indigenous Services, announced an additional $16 million for a new stimulus development fund to support the Indigenous tourism industry. With yesterday's announcement of phase 6 - the final release of funds, ITA...C has awarded 678 grants and $16.212M. This was made possible with the support of the Federal Government of Canada and the Indigenous Services Canada. ITANB is excited and proud to announce the NB Indigenous businesses who have received the Stimulus Development Funding. Check it out! Beaded Mask by indigenous artist Emma Hassencahl Perley for Human Threads - a collaboration between the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and the Atlantic Ballet Association. Emma's work is being exhibited alongside 14 other artists from NB.
