Okay folks we can finally talk about this! Up until very recently, NDs were banned from speaking out on anything Covid related and certainly on how to take care of oneself and/or support immunity during this time. NDs all over the country were subjected to trap calls by either undercover reporters or unknown investigators checking up on whether we were treating for COVID or even talking about how to boost immunity with patients. That kind of deception concerns me greatly - ...and I want to put that out there because our profession has been put through the ringer in these last several months (on top of dealing with a novel virus!) and it’s certainly tested our own levels of mental and emotional health in many ways. Not being able to speak about the very thing we are trained for is frustrating to put it mildly especially since this is our area of knowledge and expertise - after all nutrition is what we talk about every day with our patients. But now that the CDC has made a statement however and acknowledged the role of good lifestyle habits and nutrition we can now openly speak about this a lot more.
