Special Douglas Fir Transit Mats, these fit in a steel frame on site and must be exact for size. Picture 2 shows that 3 mats are angle cut on the end; one of them has a "dog leg". Nuts are spot welded as the mats will be used on an elevated driving ramp and we don't want them to shake loose. Always something interesting going on here! @ Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Dunnage that breaks seems a little counterintuitive. Our customer puts 2 large diameter pipes down and then a 3rd one nests between. The dunnage "control" breaks and settles in the right place without a swamper having to be in the danger zone. So....we can make it break for you if you need it! @ Maple Ridge, British Columbia

What is it? These are Rail Crossing Kits, each package is an easily installed crossing. There is 5 pieces for between the rails and 1 each on outsides. As you can see we manufacture a wedge off the bottom corner to allow for the rail plates. This allows a closer installation, and less twisted ankles. Nice 16' wide x 20' long access bridge supplied to a customer in Fraser Valley. They are developing a new subdivision and need access over a fish bearing stream. An old bridge was carefully removed, leaving the old abutments in place. New abutment lock blocks were placed and the new BCFS L100 (90,000 kg) bridge was installed in 2 pieces. 3x12" end boards stop gravel from roadway. Timber Toby finishes Friday by getting dirty! He looks real pleased with himself!

One of our Timber Bridges installed in Surrey, BC today over a 15" natural gas line. This will be the main roadway for a new housing development that had no easy access. This is a 20' long bridge, complete with curbs, engineered for 90,000kg gvw. After ground preparation actual installation took 3 hours with an excavator.

Timber Toby Tuesday.....here he is inspecting some small timber wedges, being used on an industrial site to level up a crane on a slope. The handles are to make it easier to slide around. 3/4" toe, 8-3/4" heel 24" wide, 48" long. Timber Toby knows his wedges! @ Industrial Timber Products

Stop Log Panels, extra heavy duty, 1st picture is the spillway that needs to have maintenance done. The panels (pic 2) get dropped in to place from above into the slot, there is some leakage before the wood swells up a bit (pic 3). Picture 4 is the wood panels before being applied to the metal frame. These panels are holding back about 20' of water. @ Industrial Timber Products

This is our local farmer, our favourite guy, Phil the Eggman who gets planer shavings to keep the chickens happy. Thompson Creek Farms have the best eggs, maybe because of the nice wood shavings! Nice truck!

Rail Crossing Panels, these panels are made exactly to size to fit between rail tracks to allow heavy machinery and traffic to cross. They are bolted in to panels so they can be quickly deployed. There are pick up points on top. A small crane can put them in place and then a few lag screws into the ties and you are ready to go. Timber Toby is checking some special Transition Mats that we built today. Our customer needs to move some large equipment over an existing standing concrete wall. We have built 2 ramps 48" wide starting at 2" and rising to 16". On the other side of the wall the ground is lower so we built a 30" high x 48" x 10' large landing pad. Capping this is 2 access mats specially built which will "bridge" the gap over the wall. A gravel ramp will be used on the other side. An interesting project. @ Industrial Timber Products

Stop Log Panels, complete with inset steel H-beam and lifting hardware. Follow through pictures to see how they are used. This is a waste water treatment plant in Maryland. The panels are installed 14' high and various widths. They will temporarily hold back water flow while reconstruction takes place. @ Industrial Timber Products

Access Mats are being used beside the Lougheed Highway to support a tunnelling sled. 96" diameter pipe will be tunneled under the highway without stopping traffic. The Access Mats give a clean base for the set-up. @ Mission, British Columbia

Excavator on our river mats, protecting the foreshore from damage while doing reclamation work. This is in the Whonnock area on the edge of the Fraser River in BC.

This is a Stop Log panel, it will stand in a "slot" in a water raceway or penstock used to control water flow. The steel in-set into the timbers gives it incredible strength. In this case the water level/course can be up to 14' tall (3 panels tall). The "ears" are designed to be used with a lifting device; a beam with hooks which is lowered on top of the panel. We are manufacturing several sizes of these panels for our customer. @ Industrial Timber Products

4'x30' Crane Mats heading out today. These mats have 6 bolts at 1-1/4" diameter, daps either end for chain access and limited wane. These will be used for a Crane job on soft ground to spread the point load. Call us for your ground protection needs!

Cable Digger Mats being repositioned by Jim on the edge of the Fraser River near Whonnock. The Whonnock River is being diverted to establish more riparian area where it exits into the Fraser. It is being put back into the layout where it was back in the 1960s. This is how an excavator can operate in environmentally sensitive ground conditions.
