INFO ABOUT THE UPCOMING SELF-DEFENSE COURSE: Everyone needs to be safe from predators, but not everyone knows enough about their own self-protection to do so. By understanding basic self-defense concepts and then familiarizing yourself with simple self-defense techniques, YOU CAN BE YOUR OWN BODYGUARD!... The goal of this course is to provide people with the understanding and means to defend themselves in a way that is intended to be both effective and reasonable in today's society. Inferno Self-Defense Systems has been teaching reality based self-defense to Medicine Hat and area for over 10 years. In 10 weeks you will learn some basic defenses against: GRABS, CHOKES & STRIKES, while also learning some basic ESCAPES FROM THE GROUND. This is not a course on street fighting! The philosophy behind this course is about avoiding a potential attack. If avoidance isn’t possible, then the priority is to engage the attack until you have the opportunity to escape. This course is available to men and women over the age of 14 (14 to 17 year olds needs to have a parent present to give signed consent in order to participate).
