A message from Helena: I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart... one of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite poems by E.E Cummings. It’s been some time since we’ve been able to be together... in fine feather has felt very different this year but know that every memory, every connection, everything we cultivated still resides within me. I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words and sweet gestures over the holidays. We hold each other and that’s what makes IFF so special. Counting down the days until yoga in the park. Let's reflect on the simple joys of our life that make us happy and content. There is a lot to celebrate and to be grateful for. What a year it’s been... 2020 was the most challenging year but also gave me the opportunity to radically change the pace of my life. I got to explore Onta...rio more than I ever have. I slowed down and had more time for adventure. I learned new skills and hobbies outside of work. Overall, it’s been a year of growth in so many ways. What are you grateful for from 2020? Meet Stephanie! You’ll find her teaching Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays online. She is a long time student and talented teacher who shows up for the community everyday! Most recently Stephanie has taken on a larger role at IFF as the accounts manager with her extra care and attention to ensuring our students are supported with the online experience. We are sooo grateful for you Steph! . Stephanie began to practice yoga in February of 2015, here ...at In Fine Feather. She quickly fell in love with the way yoga made her mind and body feel. After 2 years on her mat, Stephanie looked to strengthen her personal practice. She enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training at Anjeli Teacher Training with Diana Lockett and Daniel Horgan. It was during this transformation that Stephanie found her love for teaching. With her passion for continued learning, she has completed a 20 hour meditation course with In Fine Feather Yoga and Steve Ferrell, and a 20 hour barre training, with Morgan Cowie from Mosaic Yoga Toronto, to dig deeper into anatomy knowledge. . Steph loves to connect with the In Fine Feather community. Her teaching style can be described as an alignment-based, heart-centered approach, with a key emphasis on breath. She encourages her students to come to their mats with a sense of curiosity, compassion and courage. See more

NEW BLOG - How To Cultivate A Cozy Home Practice By Meagan Santa I’ve been practising yoga and working out at home for years now, so when Helena and I began creating the virtual yoga studio with the help of Zoom & Mindbody I was already quite comfortable with the process. I also know that many of our students landed in what felt like unknown territory. With their best step forward we have all started to figure out how to practise yoga at home. We needed yoga so we navigated it together. Now that we know that an at home practice is the safest form of movement and connection, I’m here to make it the most enjoyable and supported experience it can be until we can gather again.
