UPDATE: Great news our Beltline and Inglewood Aquatic Centres will remain open until the end of 2021 at minimum. Last week, City Council approved additional one-time funding to enable the facilities to remain open while changes to our operating model and services are considered. The aging... configuration of the facility is no longer meeting citizen’s service level expectations for public recreation. Changing citizen preferences have resulted in limited and declining participation at this facility. As per Council direction, we continue to actively explore whether other service providers would be interested in operating Inglewood to maintain service and facility continuity beyond 2019. We will report back our findings to Council on September 30, 2019. In the interim, Calgary Recreation continues to work directly with user groups, swim clubs, pass holders and recreation program participants at this facility to identify potential relocation options at other City-operated and City partner facilities. Prior to January 1, 2020, there will be no changes to the hours of operations at Inglewood. All fall recreation programs, classes and bookings will proceed as scheduled.

In the New Year, we encourage you to visit nearby Renfrew Aquatic Centre (810 13 Ave. N.E.), Bob Bahan Aquatic & Fitness Centre (4812 14th Ave. S.E.), Killarney Aquatic & Recreation Centre (1919 29th St. S.W.) or any City-operated Aquatic, Fitness and Leisure Centre. In addition, Repsol Sport Centre (2225 Macleod Tr. S.E.) and Gray Family Eau Claire YMCA (101 3 St. S.W.) are two City sport and recreation partners that have nearby facilities.
