It’s Monday again and that means it’s time for another Paw-some Monday, Inglewood! This week’s feature is Vinny, more commonly known as Miss Vinny because she is such a sweetheart Miss Vinny loves strolling around Inglewood, meeting people and all dogs, no matter how large! She also enjoys treeing squirrels, especially in Winifred Stewart Park!... Vinny is super friendly and loves everybody, as long as they don't touch her toys If she brings you a toy to show you...you are special!! She can’t wait to meet you around the neighbourhood, so if you see her on a walk, be sure to say hi! Don’t forget to tag us in your pet pics @inglewoodcl and hashtag it #ICLPaws to have your pet featured next week! #ICLPaws #InglewoodCL #InglewoodYEG #Pawsitivitypost

Due to the recent changes with the COVID-19 public health measures, our yoga classes at our community hall have been put on hold. Group fitness classes have been banned for the next two weeks (Nov 13-27). The Inglewood Community League will continue to follow all guidelines from the government and will keep you posted as we continue to adapt in these difficult times. We hope to see you all on the mat again soon!... For more information on the latest updates: https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx

2 DAYS LEFT TO SUBMIT YOUR INPUT We are working on an ongoing project, Phase 2 of the Park Redevelopment, that would benefit from Revitalization support. Given that the sports hall poses a number of safety risks (issues with sightlines, risk of injury on the exterior stairs, etc.), it would be of value to the community to have it demolished. If people complete the survey to show that this safety in and around the league building and parkland is important to them, there is... a greater chance that Revitalization could allocate some money to help with the cost of demolition. Please consider filling out the survey as a community member to share your thoughts on how Revitalization can best support ongoing initiatives that the league has taken on. The survey deadline has been extended to Oct. 30. You can find the survey here: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSc0ZL4UjyCgVOX76/viewform

We have an opportunity to secure a grant through EPCOR for arts/crafts/cultural programming. We are looking for a few volunteers to help us out! Do you have experience in writing grants? We are looking for a volunteer who can apply for this funding. Are you an artist? Fan of crafts? We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in leading/hosting an arts/crafts/cultural program for our community.... This is a great volunteer opportunity that can be tailored to your own interests! Some ideas to get those creative juices flowing: - Monthly paint night at the hall - Sewing/Knitting club - Music/dancing group - Hosting an online workshop for sewing, knitting, cooking, baking (for all of those Christmas cookies), etc. If you're interested in volunteering to write the grant application or leading an arts/crafts program, please email: [email protected]
